Pick up from hotel after lunch/breakfast:
Visit the Fort St. George- the first English fortress in India ,which was completed in 1653 filled with reminders of the past, also visit St. Mary church - the first church which was consecrated on the Indian soil.
Later , drive in to the National Art Gallery which houses many excellent bronze statues including the famous Chola period Nataraja, the God Shiva, in the cosmic dance pose. Head on to the Government Museum (closed on Fridays) which contains sculpture and architecture of the Dravidian dynasties and then travel to the Marina Beach which is World’s ‘s 2nd largest beach. Stop by, to visit San Thome Basilica - the culmination of the enduring legend of Thomas Didymus, the apostle who is believed to have lived and preached on Mylapore’s shores. Proceed to Mylapore Kapaleshwara temple which is famous for lord shiva and his concert Karpagambal. Shop adjacent to the temple for local artwork and drive back to the hotel.
